A Biological Wound Cover

LifeCell Biologics introduces AmchoPlast - a minimally manipulated and aseptically processed dehydrated human amnion-chorion tissue allograft which restores wound bed physiology while supporting natural healing of chronic wounds.

AmchoPlast is basically constituted of multiple extracellular matrix proteins, growth factors, cytokines, chemokines and other specialty proteins present in placental tissue which triggers the wound healing process. AmchoPlast possesses high levels of G-CSF, IL-10, IL-6, PLGF, TGF-β1, PDGF-BB and TGF-α important for promoting cell migration, proliferation, and angiogenesis.

AmchoPlast reduces the disease burden; thus, improving the life expectancy and quality of life of the patients suffering from chronic wounds.

AmchoPlast: An Advanced Amnion Chorion Based Biological Wound Cover

A combination of aseptically processed dehydrated human amnion-chorion tissue allograft which retains the structural properties of extracellular matrix complimented with multiple protein molecules, anti-inflammatory cytokines, chemokines and growth factors which imparts accelerated momentum towards the wound healing process.

Wound healing is a complex process that requires interaction between numerous cytokines and growth factors.

  1. AmchoPlast holds inflammatory cell chemokines and cytokines that regulate the activity of cells derived from the immune system and is a critical process at the early stages of wound repair.
  2. AmchoPlast presents fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) in high proportion which is likely to positive regulation of keratinocytes and promote efficient wound re-epithelialization.
  3. High concentrations of G-CSF, VEGF and IL-8 present in AmchoPlastsupports angiogenesis and endothelial cellular proliferation.

These factors have been extensively studied and have evidence of specifically activating the signal cascade towards wound healing. These proteins are known to regulate a variety of processes involved in inflammation, angiogenesis, ECM remodelling and tissue regeneration.
