4 mins | November 28, 2022
AMH is a reliable biomarker serving as a proxy for the quantity of eggs in the ovaries. Additionally, it could also help initiate discussion with your doctor about different fertility treatments, provide clues on PCOS, early menopause and much more!
Think about this hormone as the “conductor of the ovary orchestra.” The rise and fall of E2 that cues FSH production. It serves as an indicator of ovarian function
FSH is responsible for stimulating follicle growth and ovulation. Testing FSH and E2 provides insights on how the ovaries and pituitary gland are working together.
TSH keeps the thyroid gland under check. The thyroid gland and its hormones engage closely in reproductive functions.
LH provides the ‘Go’ signal for the grand release of your mature egg into the fallopian tube (ovulation) as part of your monthly cycle.
fT4 is produced by the thyroid gland. fT4 along with TSH provide insights into the overall functioning of the thyroid gland
Like most of the other hormones, Prolactin is a multi-tasker. In addition to being responsible for breast milk production, Prolactin takes part in metabolic activities and immune system regulation.
Although produced in small amounts, Testosterone participates in tissue development in the ovaries and promotes bone strength, among many other functions!

Every test gives you a snapshot of your reproductive health at the time. But your fertility changes over time as your age, lifestyle, and environment change.Testing on a regular basis might help you track how your fertility hormones are changing. It not only provides you with the most up-to-date information for making reproductive health decisions, but it also serves as a vital medical history in the event that you ever require fertility treatment.
Yes. It's clearer than ever why testing from home is such a huge advantage. Even in these unpredictable times, you can keep track of your fertility and make plans. You receive your test in the mail, take your own sample, and mail it to the lab, where the machines will process your blood. Our labs have been in contact with us and are running normally.
This test does not require a prescription. You can take up the test when you wish. In the event your doctor recommends getting tested, OvaScore is the best choice since you can take up the test at the comfort of your home.
Yes. Our experts have created the hormone test. We created the test to be comprehensive to give you and your doctor a complete view of your fertility.
The cost of the test kit includes both delivery to you and shipping back to the lab. Your order will arrive in 3-5 business days, depending on your location.
We recommend that you fast for 8 hours before collecting your blood sample as this will help our labs to attain the clearest results to measure your reproductive health. The easiest time to do so is first thing in the morning before breakfast. Having had a shower beforehand helps get the flow going. Be sure to drink a lot of water because being hydrated is one of the best things you can do to prepare for a hassle free collection process.
Some of the hormones we test keep fluctuating throughout the menstrual cycle. It is medically recommended to test these hormones on Day 3 of a cycle. Day 3 is considered as the baseline for testing hormones as it helps interpret results accurately.
Full flow is when your bleeding is heavy enough to need a sanitary pad/tampon/menstrual cup.
If you have only one or two days of flow, you can take the test on Day 2 of your menstrual cycle. Be sure to count Day 1 as the first day of full flow before 5 pm
Do not place your finger directly on the Blood Collection Card. Lightly touch the blood drop to one side of the Blood Collection Card, allowing blood to fill the pre-printed circle completely.
The maximum permitted time for the sample to reach the lab is 48 hours post collection and the kit has been designed accordingly. However, ideally samples need to reach our laboratory within 24 hours to ensure that the transit temperature is maintained well within the desired & optimum levels. Hence to ensure the best quality of results, it is recommended that the sample is handed over to our logistics partner on the same day of collection (before 2 PM).
When your kit arrives, you might not be ready to use it straight away. Just make sure you store it in a cool, dry place. We recommend leaving your kit somewhere in view, so that you're reminded to do it. Be sure not to leave it somewhere it'll be exposed to direct sunlight, or other extreme temperatures.
