Can Sperm Survive in Fridge?

Sperm can survive in a refrigerator, but not for an extended period. Experiments have shown that although sperm motility declined rapidly when stored in a refrigerator, these samples exhibited better penetration rates with hamster eggs after 14 days compared to samples stored at room temperature.1 Additionally, sperm stored overnight in a refrigerator showed significantly higher penetration rates than those stored overnight at room temperature.1 In a nutshell, freezing sperm effectively at home isn't achievable.2

If you are considering freezing your sperm for the future, then go for LifeCell’s SpermVault. It's India’s first private long-term sperm bank that also offers self-sample collection kits.
